Simple, Paleo-friendly + dairy, gluten, and soy-free protein shake for the chocolate lover
I have been wanting to make a lifestyle change for a while, and as of yesterday, I have decided to give up sugar and grains in efforts to cleanse my body and get in my best shape for the summer. For the most part, I eat super healthy; lots of fruits and vegetables, healthy fats, and lean proteins, but at night I have an insatiable sweet tooth that I didn’t think I had the will power to control. My brother started the Ketogenic Diet (a high in fat, low in carbs and moderate in protein diet) about 6 months ago just to switch things up and make a lifestyle change and after talking to him about how great he is feeling, I wanted to try it too! I don’t believe in insane dieting, but I do believe in working from the inside-out to live a healthy lifestyle. So here is day two of my attempt at the Ketogenic diet and I wanted to share with you a smoothie that is helping curve my sweet-tooth and keeping me full!
- 1-2 scoops of Garden of Life Raw Organic Chocolate Protein
- 10 ounces Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- 1 tablespoon Creamy Organic Almond Butter
- 1 tablespoon MCT Oil
- 1 tablespoon KitchFix Grain-Free Paleo Granola (as a garnish)
- 1 handful of ice
