Here are my favorite gingham pieces your wardrobe needs for the summer

TopShop Gingham Jean Skirt on Julia Friedman.

Gingham is seriously everywhere right now and I’m not going to lie, at first sight I thought the pattern resembled a tablecloth. LOL! But since then, the grid-like pattern has grown on me and when I walked into Topshop last weekend, I couldn’t resist buying the gingham jean skirt they had on display with only a few left! I paired the skirt with this off-the-shoulder top by ASTR the Label (http://bit.ly/2r1Unab) which is under $60 by the way, and is a great fabric that doesn’t get all wrinkly!

How to wear it:

I think gingham looks best paired with one of the solid colors it carries. For example, if you have a red and white gingham skirt, I would pair it with either a red top or a white top. I also think slight ruffles, shown on the top I am wearing in the below photos, and gingham go well together. The ruffles have the ability to elevate your style and add dimension to a look.

Yes Gingham is one of those patterns that can seem a bit strange until you wear it! I’m loving gingham right now and I think you wear it beautifully!
