With Thanksgiving only a couple days away, I wanted to bake some sort of dessert that everyone can enjoy: Pumpkin Spice Donuts! I reached out to none other than Sivan, of SivanAyla.com, because if you follow her on Instagram, @SivanAyla, you can see she is truly the donut queen!
Most people love donuts and I personally love anything pumpkin! So we thought why not try out pumpkin spice donuts! They are super easy to make and honestly taste amazing! Sivan and I had a great time making them and we were shocked at how good they came out! They are more cakey than fluffy, not overly sweet and they are baked! These donuts are sure to wow your Thanksgiving crowd!
Baked Pumpkin Spice Donuts
- Prep: 15 minutes
- Cook: 10 minutes
What you will need:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). If you are using a donut pan, be sure to spray it will a cooking spray like PAM for baking so that the donuts don’t stick.
- Stir all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, salt, and baking soda together in a bowl; add pumpkin puree, eggs, milk, and softened butter. Beat mixture with an electric hand mixer on low speed until combined into a batter; spoon into a donut pan.
- Bake in preheated oven until donuts spring back when touched, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Beat confectioners’ sugar, melted butter, water, and vanilla extract together in a bowl until smooth. Put the donuts on a cooling rack (if you have) and then lay parchment paper underneath the rack so the excess frosting won’t get on your countertop. Pour the glaze onto warm donuts (not hot) so you get the dripping effect. Lastly, you can sprinkle cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice over the donuts for a nice finishing touch!
